Situation:

Forest City wanted to reduce energy costs and have a better ability to respond to the utility company’s interruptible power rate.

Solution:

To meet the clients needs, Lincus provided this 955,000 sq. ft., three-level enclosed shopping center with mechanical system upgrades including conversion of all air handling units to variable air volume, an upgraded lighting system with upgraded controls, evaluation of a 750 Ton chiller replacement, installation of VFDs and condenser water flow control, and renovation of the pneumatic air system. Improvements to the HVAC system at this property resulted in $170,000 a year in energy cost savings and 21% return on investment.
