Lincus has developed software that assists residential, commercial, and industrial customers in determining their GHG impacts. Two of these software solutions are presented below:
Lincus has developed an online Greenhouse Gas Analyzer that easily guides utility consumers through a simple survey to determine their CO2 emissions baseline. GHG emission categories that are calculated by this tool include: Utility (electricity, fuels, and renewables), Refrigeration, both Highway and Non-Highway Vehicles, and Waste and Recycling. This tool also provides consumers with a downloadable PDF summary report which includes GHG emission results in an easy-to-understand format. Then, with a better understanding of the many ways that GHG emissions can be controlled, utility customers can effectively manage their carbon emissions and plan ahead to comply with new emission requirements. This tool is designed for use by all types of consumers; whether single building, multi-building campus, or even multi-state locations. Lincus’ staff can also assist companies through the creation of customized GHG Analysis solutions.
Lincus’ Home Energy and Carbon Analyzer is a web-based tool designed to allow residential utility customers to evaluate their current energy consumption in relation to their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. After consumption information is input by the consumer, this tool offers solutions on how to determine the impact of various consumption-lowering alternatives that are available to them based on their existing energy usage and other consumption behavior details provided.
The software contains a graphical cross-section of a house showing common household items in place, which the user can select to enter the necessary details to calculate their baseline energy consumption. Once the baseline is established, consumers can select various high-efficiency/low-emission alternatives available on each end-use to evaluate their impact. This tool also includes details on the energy-efficiency measures, Energy Star® appliances.
Lincus also customizes this tool for electric utilities to promote their various residential energy-efficiency efforts and incentives.
